Ethics
Our ethics are centered around respecting & honoring the artist who contribute to our zine as well as the members who work hard to make each issue our best. Through our credits & attributions, editing & design procedures, and our consignment; respect & integrity are leading principles. Read more on how these manifest in each category below:
-
We only share work that has been intentionally submitted to us or created internally. Submission signals your consent for us to publish and share your work. Your work always remains yours. If at any point something feels off (whether around credit, consent, or how your work is handled ) please message us so we can listen and respond.
-
Clear credit and attribution are central to our work. We will never post, publish, or share submitted work without naming and tagging the artist. In our zine, your name never leaves your work. If anything is ever credited incorrectly or missing, please let us ASAP know so we can fix it. We are not interested in claiming others’ work as our own. Our goal is simply to ensure your work is respected and stays yours.
-
We are beginning to consign our issues and want to be open about how this works. This will be our first issue exploring consignment, so our structure is still evolving. At this stage, any proceeds help support the zine’s production and operations (subscription services, printing materials, etc.) as we actively work toward a model that can also give back to our artists.
-
Selected submissions may be shared on our social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Substack) as highlights or future throwbacks. We ask for your social tags and work details so we can credit you clearly and share your work with context. You will always be notified before any social post goes live and have the option to opt out, no questions asked. Submission does not require social media promotion.
All selected submissions are intended for physical printing and publication as part of the issue.
-
Unlike our first few issues, we will not collage, mix, or reconstruct submitted work. While heavier editing was part of our earlier process, we now keep design and edits minimal in order to center and maintain the integrity of each piece. Design decisions are limited to page layout, placement, contextualization, not alteration. For written work, any edits or suggestions (though rare) will always be communicated with you before moving forward.

If you ever wish to withdraw your work, please contact us as soon as you can through email or Instagram. After publication, we are able to remove work from digital platforms, but cannot control content that has already been printed or shared in physical form.
